        Today in Astana the concluding session of the Third Islamic Conference of Ministers of Health.
        The Minister of Health Salidat Kairbekova thanked all delegates for fruitful and close cooperation in health, expressing confidence that the capital of Indonesia - Jakarta will be followed by a dialogue platform between the two OIC countries of many issues that were raised during the meeting and required joint efforts.

 The third working session was devoted to self-sufficiency in the provision and production of drugs and vaccines, where representatives of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Islamic Development Bank, the U.S. Department of Health, and SESRIC Initiative Drugs for Neglected Diseases.

The third Islamic Conference of Ministers of Health is in the framework of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held from September 29 till October 1, 2011 in Astana. There are involved more than 400 delegates, including representatives from 57 Member States OIC, a number of international organizations, such as observer states.

Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs about prolongation of participation registration for the Conference before September 23, 2011.   This decision was taken into consideration of tight schedule of OIC State-Members, due to a range of simultaneous international Forums such as – “High level meeting of United Nations organization on prevention of     noninfectious diseases and fight with them” in New York September 19-20, 2011, “Meeting of the 5th stage of Global Campaign on violence prevention” in Capetown September 6-7, 2011.
